Via Napoli Ristorante is located at Epcot, in the Italy Pavilion. It is suppose to be Disney best pizza place, however I think Blaze pizza – Disney Springs is just as good at a fraction of the cost.
Via Napoli is one of the newer Epcot restaurants, it does participate in the Disney Dining Plan, and Tables In Wonderland. It Boost authentic
Neapolitan pizza with ingredients imported from southern Italy. For those not familiar, Neapolitan pizza is a style of pizza made from fresh mozzarella and either San Marzano tomatoes or Roma tomatoes, which grow on the volcanic plains to the south of Mount Vesuvius. The dough is suppose to be kneaded by hand and the pizza is cooked very quickly in a wood burning oven. Reservations are recommended.
We dined here on Jan 22 2019, with 4:15 reservations, upon arrival we checked it and waited to be called. The restaurant was very busy, but within minutes our name was called. They never asked about my wheelchair and quickly escorted us to a wheelchair friendly table. Bonus!
Our server was fabulous, and service the entire meal was spot on. The server was attentive and ensured our drinks were kept full and our food arrived in a timely manner.
Let me preface this by saying, that we nibbled a little bit before our dinner and found that come dinner at Via Napoli, we could probably have split a cesare salad and split the individual size pizza. We ordered Cesare salads, Italian Bread and pizza. Husband had the Individual Pepperoni Pizza, with added olives, and peppers. I enjoyed the white pizza, with fontina, mozarella, parmesan, roma tomatoes, sweet sausage and peppers. Husband and I are not complainers, but honestly the bottom of my husbands pizza was burnt, burnt black, on the one side. He should have said something but because he had already eaten 1/4 of it he chose not to say anything. Mine was cooked perfect although the peppers where a little on the hot side.
We both ended up bringing home half of each pizza and enjoying it the next day. We could of ordered one pizza, one salad and the bread and been completely satisfied.
Meal took about 1 hour and 20 mins, cost for the two salads, two drinks, bread, and two individual pizzas, with tip was approximately $90.00. I was able to easily maneuver through the restaurant in my wheelchair and there was scooter parking outside for those that could walk into the facility. I did not utilize the restrooms here so I am not sure how wheelchair friendly they are.
In summary, we would probably not eat here again. The atmosphere was great, the service was great, the pizza, was just okay. With so many delicious food options at Epcot, we are not interested in eating an a “just ok” restaurant.
